My name is Herman Kambala, and I’m photographer, and videographer based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Since a young age, I have been fascinated by nature and the different cultures present in my country. I decided to capture all this beauty, different stories and share it with the world through my passion for photography.
I have traveled the majority of Congo, from big cities to the most remote villages, in search of new horizons to explore and immortalize in my photographs. Each of my photographs tells a unique story about daily life, nature, traditions, arts, and Congolese culture.
In 2021, I was selected to receive a scholarship from the VII Academy, which allowed me to further develop my photography skills and work alongside experienced and seasoned photographers.
My work has been exhibited in numerous prestigious exhibitions, such as "Celebration around the World" in Argentina, "Semaine de l'Afrique" in Cergy, France, "Art African Excellensitys" in Belgium, as well as the exhibition "Liyolo Empreintes" at the Kin Art Studio in Texaf, to name just a few.
I continue to inspire others through my photographs, capturing the beauty of Congolese nature and cultures, and remain committed to presenting a positive image of Congo and Africa to the rest of the world
